I had a bilateral Inguinal hernia, Mr Bhattacharya was very knowledgable, reassuring and professional. The operation went very well, the healing process was exactly what he advised, I have recently been discharged, 6 weeks after my operation very happy with my care.

Mr Bhattacharya adopted a very professional approach to my case and gave me complete confidence. He took time to listen to me in both the pre and post operative consultations. He fully explained the treatment options available and their pros and cons.

I received excellent care from my first meeting with Mr Bhattacharya and his staff also the staff at pre op were lovely made me feel at ease and explained what was happening. When I came for my operation the staff in theatre were very friendly and made me feel at ease and my after care on the ward was excellent they looked after me and nothing was too much trouble, my post op appointment was excellent the staff were lovely and Mr Bhattacharya explained what had been done thank you all for a wonderful experience

I had the preop with Dr Bhattacharya and my para umbilical Hernia condition was fully explained and also the remedial surgery which put me at ease with my condition. After the operation I was given 4 different pain killers none of which were needed. I have now fully recovered from the operation with no visible scaring in the affected area. I had my post operation consultation today and as expected all was good and normal duties can resume. A very professional service from all involved at Highfield Hospital obviously including the surgeon Dr Bhattacharya who was exceptionall through out

Mr Sayan Bhattacharya is a Consultant General Surgeon and Lead for Clinical Governance in General Surgery at North Manchester Hospital. He specialises in Benign, Laparoscopic Upper GI and Emergency General Surgery.
He routinely performs laparoscopic cholecystectomy, laparoscopic and open groin hernia repair, Nissens and Toupets Fundoplication (anti reflux surgery), laparoscopic repair of hiatus hernia.
